Hello! I recently got into NITW as of recent and I REALLY love how this game is turning out so far! I was interested in this game since it seems to not only be one of the very few NITW fangames out there but the art style looks similar to LITW, which I really loved the demo of when I played it!

I haven't played through the entirety of this demo so far but I've noticed the music might of broke when loading up the game.  Rebooting the game also seems to do nothing for the music neither :(

Hopefully you are able to find the time to fix this issue along with also being able to get the rest of the game wrapped up! Game development is a huge hassle.

Cannot wait to see the full release when it comes out!

I'm glad you're enjoying the demo! Since it's so early in development, there is no music. This whole thing was just a side project I built from the open source parts of other NITW VNs. I will return to work on this game soon.

Sweet! It just looked like there was music from the options in the settings and ofc the AtF soundtrack in the files. That brings up another question though, are the artists and writers from the other VN's helping you work on this VN too? Or are you a one person team? Either way, sending you my best regards for the future of this VN and your other projects!

It's mostly just me with some help from the original AtF writer. I have some new art from friends to put in the next update too.

may we have the option to select skin for immersion pretty please?

I never really paid much attention to the community around Nit in the Whoops, but the game itself is really cute and I don't hate it. I hope you had fun making this VN. I often keep to myself in real life and don't have many friends. Visual Novels are beautiful to me.

Mods, forcer this individual to add a stupid out of lore option for what you still have some snow on (skin)

I respect you a lot and this is why I’m going to be honest with you. I played After the Fall and you copied a lot of stuff from them (I’m not talking about the art, I know those are public assets)

From seeing Selmers at the cafe,  meeting Gregg and Stan at the same time, Meeting Lori on the bus, Mae being terrified of you during your first meeting, from inheriting a home from your now presumably deceased father, the church scene where Mae bugs her parents at church because you make her uncomfortable (even copying the Pastor’s name), dinner at Mae’s with the weird floating head painting after returning her wallet (and even the conversation where Lori and Mae are seemingly dating)…. I could go on.

All of that is from After the fall/Love in the woods. It’s not a good look, especially after you landed yourself in hot water when they claimed you stole assets (even though you didn’t).

The writing is in the same boat as the art. After the Fall started off as a community version of Love in the Woods. It was created specifically because Love in the Woods would not share assets with the community. According to the original creator of AtF, anybody should be allowed to use and modify the contents of After the Fall and create their own versions, which is what I did. I wasn't satisfied with the direction and progress of After the Fall, so I made what I consider an improved version of it. "It's not a good look" is a meaningless derogative that people use when they just want to pick a side based on their feelings without considering facts. I use AtF content in accordance with their licensing terms, plain and simple. Anybody can see for themselves that AtF is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial Sharealike 3.0, listed in the credits of the game they've been distributing for years, but the current devs are claiming ignorance and lying to people to protect their own interests. If the current AtF developers wanted to keep their project closed off, they should have made their own version from the ground up instead of taking a free and open source game. The fact that they took control of a project and failed to understand how the licensing on it works is frankly embarrassing, indefensible, and on some level illegal. Both the main artist and main writer, who no longer work on the projects but were instrumental in getting them off the ground, have called out AtF and LITW on their bullshit and given me their blessing to continue this project.

I've been ravenous for more NITW content and I absolutely adore the art style of the characters, feels similar to the original game yet different but still lovely looking. Definitely gonna be staying tuned for more updates, thank you for making this!

(btw anyone know who the artist is? Unless it's the author codanon?)

The artists are listed in the about section on the main menu. EquestriaPrevails (aka GoatAnimeDatingSim) made the character designs and drew the title art and most of the character sprites. I think Angus and some of Gregg's sprites as well as a lot of the backgrounds were done my Tymime.
